Jamila Place ABA was created in honor of my sister, Jamila.
In Swahili her name means beautiful and that is exactly what she was and still is, both inside and out.
Jamila had a special calling for children with special needs. She had a vision for their potential, and a deep sense of purpose around making sure they were seen, supported, and loved in a way the world often overlooks.
The name Jamila Place, carries her name, her spirit, and her mission. And every child who walks through our doors is part of continuing what she started.
Our logo—the two elephants and the heart—reflects her favorite animal, the elephant, and her favorite color, green.
Elephants represent strength, memory, protection, and lifelong family bonds.
The heart represents love at the center of everything we do just as Jamila did.
Together, they symbolize what Jamila believed in: strong support, deep care, and unwavering commitment to children and their families.
Jamila Place is more than a clinic. It is a living legacy of love, purpose, and vision.
